Doubting Thomas could not believe that Christ was truly resurrected. When the Apostle expressed his doubts, Christ invited him to place his finger on the marks of his wounds. Thomas did as he was told, and exclaimed ‘My Lord and my God’, becoming the first of the disciples to recognize Christ’s divine origins.
