The installation Ohne Titel [Without Title] (1988/2010), comprising 48 pieces of folded steel sheet, was presented sequentially in different versions which each related to the respective space they were intended for. Originally realized as four-walled sheet metal channels based on the model of molded duct elements used in climate control systems and subsequently dismantled for space-saving purposes, a mobile and variable sculpture was created for which presentation within different spatial contexts became part of the concept of the work in form and content. The different arrangements of the metal sheets interpreted their relationship to architecture in their respective logic and simultaneously referred to the multiple ways of using one and the same sculptural vocabulary.
