Marina brought up a serious and tough topic creating a work on the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. The work about women who went through the war, about its horrors and fears. The work about women who managed to move on and face the future in spite of everything.

"It so happened that I came across a story about "Night Witches" and started reading about women in war. The women's air force squadron... An idea came into my head. If we look at the streets called after heroes of war, we can see that most of them have male names. So I took woman's figure as a basis which is very unusual and uncharacteristic for a war. Usually war is associated with men and rightly so. War doesn't have a woman's face. This is as it should be."
Marina Yagoda.
