Woman's day dress

Day dress, white cotton, voluminous sleeves, about 1823-1825. Worn by the wife or daughter of James Good, the captain of a Liverpool slave ship, the Kate, which sailed between Angola and Trinidad. The family lived in Nile Street, off Great George Street, Liverpool.
