Woman's evening dress

Evening dress, silk georgette and silk satin, the bodice trimmed with gold metallic lace, about 1917-19. This dress may have belonged to Hester Gaskell Holland (born 1888) or to her younger sister Alice Elizabeth Holland. They were the daughters of Walter Holland, senior partner in the Liverpool shipping firm, Lamport & Holt
