This necklace is created on a single piece of 3/16-inch thick leather. The leather is cut in the contour of a circle with a 2 to 3-inch long rectangular shape in the front. The necklace opens in the back, and is held closed with a handmade steel wire hook-and-eye clasp.

On top of this shape are rows of alternating color, size and shaped beads. The center front of the circle and the back opening are the only places where the rows alternate in pattern. At the front larger beads delineate the center. The rectangular shape that hangs from the center front contains triangle motifs created in smaller beads only.
