This shawl is formed from three widths of white cotton tabby seamed laterally. It is decorated across ends and along sides with red silk floss embroidery mostly in surface satin stitch. There are geometric patterns arranged in diagonal rows. It is field embroidered with white cotton in holbein stitches in regular lattice with panels filled with florettes. Each end is hemmed and finished with a band of black cotton crocheted lace.
