Red, safflower (beni) now faded to orange plain weave (heiken). Heiken dyed with beni is called momi and is used to line kimono. Strings on collar to hold an embroidered collar (haneri) to protect uwagi from perspiration. Uchiki lightly padded. The lining is extended to hemline to cover a roll of padding, fuki, and is finished in the front with curved corners called tsuma, a style popular in this period.
