This is a plaque placed in front of the cargo on a cargo ship. The characters mean “favorable wind”, which was a wish for a good tailwind to speed the ship along. Such good luck phrases were often written on ships` plaques.
Found in Shishijima,Mitoyo City,Kagawa Prefecture.
