Woodfigure of the Wittemoor 1

Newest interpretations of the two wood figures, found in the year of 1965 near the bog path in the Wittemoor bog (Rural district of Wesermarsch), say that the find might have been used as some kind of traffic sign or way marker. They were placed near rough and difficult way sections along the path over the bog. The shown figure was made out of oak wood and resembles a man.
