An alms bag for collecting donations for the poor. Made of leather and green velvet, embroidered with gold and silver thread.
It belonged to Maria Josepha (1731-1767), daughter of August III the Saxon, King of Poland. In 1747, she became Dauphine of France, as the second wife of Louis Ferdinand Bourbon, Dauphin of France (1729-1765). She was mother of three kings of France: Louis XVI, Louis XVIII and Charles X.
