Workers in the Space Station Processing Facility begin unwrapping the protective cover over the end of Multi-Purpose Logistics Module Leonardo so they can open the hatch and access the inside. The MPLM has just returned from its maiden voyage to the International Space Station aboard Discovery on mission STS-102. Leonardo is one of three MPLMs built by the Italian Space Agency to serve as “cargo vans” to the Station, carrying supplies and equipment. In the SSPF, Leonardo will be prepared for a future mission
