Wrapping Cloth for an Official Hat

This is a wrapper used for storing an officer hat called samo, which is worn with a coat with a curved collar (danryeong). Official hats including samo are stored in an official hat case, since these hats have many decorations attached and can easily become misshapen. Official hat wrappers were cotton-quilted to absorb shock. The outside and the inside of the wrapper were made of dark blue and pale greenish blue silk respectively.
