This recently discovered pterosaur has a long, straight tail, like most primitive species on the pterosaur evolutionary tree. But it also has some advanced traits, such as relatively long neck bones. Scientists think this pterosaur could represent a transitional body form. Found in Liaoning Province, China, it was named after Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, the hero of the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.
