Clarke & Sowdon produced this board game, named for the sport of Tetherball. The firm probably did not understand the rules of the game, because the box illustration does not demonstrate that knowledge. Tetherball is a two-person game, played without racquets. A similar game, swingball, utilizes racquets and a smaller ball. The box does show a beach scene--a popular place to play the sport. The game itself is a combination race and strategy game played on a board.
