A women’s sleeveless vest of white cloth, composed of three panels and featuring a small collar. Trimmed with red and dark blue homemade cords. Serrated patterns of black and red wool embroidered around the collar, armholes and partly along the length of the gussets. Two gussets inserted at the joins of the panels; the broader gussets have vents at the bottom to the height of 13 centimeters. Red and black woollen tassels arranged over the entire vest and fringes of the same color and material along the hem. Patterns include flowers and leaves made from red, black, green, blue and purple wool and gold thread. An integral part of the traditional festive dress. The vest was owned by Makrena Stevanović, mother of Petar Janković, who thinks his mother wore it when she was still a girl in the second half of the nineteenth century. Home handcraft; rolled, tailored, sewn, embroidered.
