"It's the furniture series. In the work "Horse", for example, it isn´t the horse that interests me, but the sitting. I call the sculptures "performative sculptures", I attacked them, or I moved them or transferred them with my body to be something else. So I use lots of furniture and do something that would never happen to them, like for example a "dresser", it would never shrink and you would never sit on it that way. With "Muddy Land" for example, someone went over the mobile with a vehicle and it was soft and I like that connection, I like the poetic connection. When I call it "Horse" and you see someone sitting there with a shoe on each side, that horse, that riding attitude in combination with the furniture, this brought something I liked. "- Erwin Wurm
