Miner's bathroom ("Mannschaftskaue")

This room was used as a dressing room for miners of the Reden pit where they changed their clothes before and after a shift. Clothing as well as personal items were pulled beneath the ceiling in so-called "Kauenkörbe" (baskets) in order to store these in a safe and space-saving manner. The "Das Erbe" exhibition is now located in the rooms of the former "Mannschaftskauen".
