In Ão, the projection shows the interior of Dois Irmãos Tunnel, in Rio de Janeiro, where the camera moves along a continuous path without finding an entrance or exit. The looping video suggests a curved structure inside a mountain, bereft of access to the outside. The slight dizzy sensation brought about by the infinite image is enhanced by the repetition of the fragments of the song Night and Day in the voice of Frank Sinatra, collaborating in this dilation of space-time. According to Tunga, the movement suggests an “imaginary torus inside of a rock.”
