Order of Saint Alexander (cross)

Established on December 25, 1881 by Alexander I of Battenberg, Prince of Bulgaria in honor of two Alexanders – Alexander Nevsky and Emperor Alexander II, owing to whom Bulgaria became independent after Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878).
Motto: С НАМИ БОГ – «God is with us». The award was cancelled in 1944
