Her Majesty Queen Sirikit promoted the transformation of Khit into yardage suitable for Western-style dressmaking by using it for some of Her designer clothing. Her Majesty wore a tailored jacket from Bangkok designer Bha during a trip to Sakon Nakhon province, northeastern Thailand, 1983.
