This painting is a resultants of the artist's free time activities. He is given over to collecting bits and pieces leading to an artistic activity known by the French as "bricolage", i.e., using "found objects" to create works of art. While he deliberately and systematically collects skeleton or separate bones for reference purposes, he also more haphazardly collects seashells, coral, fallen timber and drift wood he finds by happenstance. Using both the deliberately collected and the found pieces as models, he reproduces them in his paintings. They are authentic reminders of the generation and corruption of all that exists.
