A clapperboard from "2499 AnthapanKrong Muang" (Daeng Bireley and Young Gangsters)

The clapperboard, or slate, is used in the Buddhist-Brahmin ceremony that marked the first day of the filming of "2499 AnthapanKrong Muang" (Daeng Bireley and Young Gangsters). It was adorned with the auspiciuos words, "Gold", "Diamond" and Money". It is typical for Thai film crew to hold a ceremony on the first day of shooting to bring fortune and luck to the production. This "ceremony" or "ritual" slate was not used in actual flming.
