‏ A Kashmiri Shawl

A kashida, popularly known as Kashmiri shawl,woven in silk. The centre of the shawl is flower shaped and blank, whereas the rest of it is filled with closely-packed mango shaped ornamentation. The Kani Shawl refers to a particular type of shawl that is woven using numerous eyeless wooden spokes in the place of a shuttle. Kani shawls have been historically produced using fine hand spun pashmina and shahtoosh fibres which have further added to its richness.
