‘Fighting to Fit’

Fighting to Fit, focuses on mannequins, and their reflection of the complex hierarchies of gender, beauty, sexuality, and race standards in Ethiopia's urban landscape. These mannequins that are supposedly shaped in the manner of universal body specifications, create confusion and a dilemma for all Ethiopian and non-Western consumers with regards to accepting which body size and colour they should aspire to be.
