Rokkozaki Peninsula

Located at the northernmost tip of Noto Peninsula, Cape Rokō is said to have been a strategic point along the Sea of Japan route since ancient time; in the past signal fires were lit here to inform the capital of Kyoto in emergency. A western lighthouse was erected on the cape in 1883 and continues to beacon out to the Sea of Japan today.
