This material is the notebook written “the Method for Manufacture of Production of Isehan-honten in 1934” by Ryuemon Sawada (after the 6th proprietor, Kamenosuke Sawada). Raw materials of cosmetics like two-tone lipstick, kneaded Beni, cheek rouge, and eyebrow powder (pencil) were written in detail in those days.
At the part of “the eyebrow pencil” it was written that compositions were carbon black, white Vaseline, white wax, solid paraffin, and compounded flavor ingredient. And it was written that compositions were carbon black and soot at the part of “the eyebrow powder”, and carbon black and olive oil at the part of “the eyebrow powder sheet”.
