Hangzhou, China

This wood walnut cracker has an interesting novel appearance. One of its blade is in the form of an old man with three teeth wearing a hat and glasses on the upper half and his beard on the lower section, while the other blade features his chin. His mouth is where the walnut could be put in to crack by the moving jaw. It is speculated that this walnut cracker with a light weight was crafted during the Republican China era under the influence of western cultures.
