Bizen ware is pottery being produced around Okayama Prefecture, Bizen City. It was established as pottery of densification by reducing burning in the Heian period. In the late Kamakura period, potters of Bizen began to make the brown oxidation firing pottery. It is believed that was used to store cereals. By looking at the dark brown skin glazed naturally of the torso upper half, we can feel the calm atmosphere.
