This tea bowl is made by Yūsuke in his unique style that has stepped out from traditional Asahi Ware. By applying white slip over the rough clay, he was able to further enhance the vibrant blue color of the moon white glaze made using straw ash. Through creating an expressive piece by pouring white slip and moon white glaze over the tea bowl and beveling the front side, he gave the tea bowl a strong presence not found in conventional Asahi Ware.
