The artisan Zou Liqing was born in 1980 in Qingtian, Zhejiang province. His works can be categorized into several series including Games, Childhood Pleasure, Combinable Carved Olive-stones (two pieces which can be combined into one) and Pursing Education. With a cute elegant shape, meticulous and flowing lines and a suitable medium to illustrate both tranquil and dynamic scenes, olive-stone carvings were listed in the State-level Intangible Cultural Heritage. The main techniques this handicraft applies are relief carving, freestanding carving and openwork carving.
