Gold Cup with Two Ears

Hubei Provincial Museum

Hubei Provincial Museum
Wuhan, China

This Cup was unearthed from underneath the outer coffin. Its lid was then placed next to the cup. Unlike other golden objects in the tomb, it is merely polished instead of delicately carved. The shape of the cup is smooth and its two ears are well-balanced. The cup demonstrate the sophisticated skills of the craftsmen in the Zeng State.
