Hezhe People’s Fish Skin Jacket with Diagonal Placket and Vol-grass Patterns Details

With a stand collar, long sleeves and a diagonal placket, the jacket was created by piecing together multiple pieces of fish skin with light colors. The breaches on these pieces caused by removing the fins were filled with fish skin with similar colors. The slit, cuff and bottom is hemmed with fish skin of a darker color and decorated with patterns of ruyi-shaped intertwined leaves, one type among the favorite motifs of the Hezhe people, made of cut-outs of pike or sheatfish skin.
