Mongolian Women’s Purple Satin Gown with Decorated Hem Front

The highlight of this garment lies in the textiles of its sleeves. With yellow satin with dragon and cloud motifs for the central parts of the sleeves, the creator chose purple samite with dragon medallion patterns for the hoof-shaped folded cuffs, and dark blue satin padded with cotton for the part in between.
Edges of the collar, diagonal button placket, waist line, lap, back slit and seams on the sleeves are all embellished with parallel satin strips with different width, with the wide one decorated with fret patterns on a yellow foundation while narrow ones made of green, black, red and light orange satin.
