Ukiyo-e depicted by Katsushika Hokusai, a famous ukiyo-e artist for "Thirty-Six Views of Mt. Fuji". This is one of the "Umazukushi" series whose main theme is horse. Horses can be seen in this print, too. A tobacco pouch depicted here is made of the leather with horse motif. Such leather was called "koma-shobugawa" in Japan, meaning a dark-green leather decorated with white horse patterns.
