Laver cutter is a tool used to cut dried laver into a square shape. It is made by joining a square wooden board and an octagonal wood board with six wooden pillars. Then, another squared wooden board is inserted between the two wooden boards, and one pillar has several holes to allow height adjustments. A nail is driven into the pillars to fix the square board. Dried lavers are placed between the two wooden boards, and the four sides of the laver are cut with the back of a knife along the board’s edges, which produces evenly-sized lavers.
