This is a large steel flute, a side-blown wind instrument. Having nodes like bamboo, it is decorated with inlaid gold and silver arabesque and crane designs. It has a mouth piece to blow wind into, a clear hole to make flute sound unique, six finger holes to control pitch, and a seven-star hole at the bottom to tune the pitches.
