This full-length portrait of Gim Yuk (1580-1658) depicts him in full court uniform with a silk hat. The painting contains a eulogy written by King Sukjong (r. 1674-1720): "While he was an old man, he had the appearance of an immortal Daoist sage and helped the state to be strong." Later, King Yeongjo (r. 1724-1776) viewed the portrait personally and wrote a poem about the eulogy.
