This is a vessel stand designed for placing a plate or an earthenware jar on top. Made in the shape of an axletree, it has a slimmer waist and a hollowed-out top and bottom. Its upper rim is curved outward, its waist is concavely curved, and it becomes wider toward the base like a bell bottom. The body and the bottom rim are decorated with an openwork design of a series of triangles.
