This is a tool designed to catch or scoop up a fish caught by fishing or a net. In terms of its composition, a T-shaped handle is attached to an oval frame, and a net is tied onto the frame using string. The shapes of scoop nets are mostly alike but some nets are made of metal wire and are called an ice scoop nets. An ice scoop net is a tool for scooping broken ice when preparing for ice fishing in winter. Therefore, this type of scoop net has a shorter grip and a smaller net than ordinary scoop nets.
