Woodblock Print Constellations Chart

This chart was created in 1571, the 4th year of King Seonjo’s reign. The original engraved astronomical chart on a stone which was produced during King Taejo's reign was made into a woodblock, then printed on a sheet of paper. The Royal Astronomical Bureau produced the multipul prints of the chart and distributed them to the civil officials of the second-rank above. Another print known to the public is housed at Tenri University in eastern Japan.
