White Porcelain Janggun [Horizontal] Jar

The jar has bluish-white porcelain glaze evenly applied all over the body. Jars shaped like this were made only in the early Joseon Period and used mostly to contain liquid. This one is presumed to have been made in a kiln in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do in the early 16th century.
