The Treasure Created from the Chinese Buddhist Sutras and Hangeul
The word “Seokbosangjeol” means the “life of Gautama Buddha in which important parts are written in detail, while the less important parts are summarized.” The last line of the preface of the first volume reads: "July 25, the 12th year of the reign of Zhengtong of the Ming Dynasty, by Prince Suyang," which implies that Suyang completed the work on July 25, 1477.
