Those for holding manure were called manure sokuri, and those for holding earth were earth sokuri. Those made of bush clover were called basokuri. It is generally made by weaving thin bamboo strips into a semi-circular shape. In the present day, sokuri is made of wire or plastic instead of bamboo.
