The jacket shows the dedication and skill of women of the past. The quilt was done in broad-stitching, inside and out. Since the 19th century, sewing has been changed simply into hemming the edge of the jacket inside. This jacket, however, was hemmed from the outside to protect the skin of a child, showing the affection of mothers for the children.
