In modern age, girl’s schools were established and embroidery course was set up as a compulsory. Based on the traditional skill of embroidery, foreign techniques were mixed together with the western painterly expression style. It was displayed on the Graduation Exhibition of Sookmyung Girl’s Proffessional College; on the jade green cloth were embroidered birds and peonies that represent riches and honors.
