This is a tool used to dig out shellfish, and was made by affixing a shaft to a triangular basket-shaped body. The bamboo strips are fixed with wire and strings. It is mostly used to catch corbicula. Since corbicula lives in relatively clear and shallow water, it was caught using this tool by raking through the riverbed.
