This is a straw jar used to store grains, and is also called narakduiju, or a rice straw grain chest. It consists of a lid and a body. The body rises vertically from the base, at a height taller than dunggumi, or a round straw container, and its edge is completed using only warp string. The straw used for this pot is first beaten into a smooth texture then twisted into strings. Using these strings, the pot was woven in a sophisticated double layer along with the lid, and was used to store crops after a harvest.
