Barendrecht is a town and municipality in the west of the Netherlands, near Rotterdam, South Holland. The municipality had a population of 48,673 in 2019, and covers an area of 21.73 km² of which 1.98 km² is water.
The municipality of Barendrecht also includes Barendrecht-Carnisselande and Smitshoek.
