Wineke Gartz is the third artist featured in the series 'Vestibulum'. This title refers to the place where the exhibitions take place: the former entrance to the museum in the building designed by architect Henry van de Velde and opened in 1938.

With video and slide projections, drawings, objects, music and an integral use of the space, Wineke Gartz (Eindhoven, 1968) creates a work with a stream of images. In the carefully composed installations, Gartz plays with subjects such as love and death, construction and decay, nature and the urban environment, and art and mass media. The body and the mind, the memories, dreams and experience of the ‘observer’ play an equally important role, as does the movement through the work and the space.
